It can't be true. |

I just found out about the untimely death of my friend and brother "Bayo". I had a dream about him last night and decided to try to reach out to him for it had been awhile since we had contact. I found of his passing and immediately tears came to my eyes. Bayo was my rock through our time together at NCCU School of Law and though I commuted to and from school my last year, because of illness in my family, come exam time, I always had a place to stay for Bayo would offer his place as a second home. We stayed close for several years after Law School then came marriage, family, careers, etc. and as all to often happens we only reached out, every once in a while. I am in shock and still hope this is all a dream. If I can do anything for his family, please do not hesitate to contact me.

I met Bayo's family during my NYSC years in Kano in 1984-1985. I was like a brother to him and his dad related to me like his own son. To his family and friends, you have my deepest sympathies on the death of Bayo.

Still in shock |

My Dear Friend, it is still a great shock to realize that we will not be siing you anytime soon. I am always humbled by the way you ask after me and the people give me the messages. I was still thinking that i will look for you by any means the next time I am in NC after Sis Kemi gave me your info but I guess that is not to be anymore. Rest in peace dear Brother and Friend. May God grant the family the grace to bear this huge loss.
My deepest sympathy to the wife, child, and family of Olubayo "Bayo" Agbetunsin. I am truly distraught to hear the news of the passing of Bayo. Bayo and I were in law school together and continued our friendship after law school and continued working together on various legal cases after our respective graduations. We had some great times together trying to figure out a way to "make a case". I could always call upon him for his legal insight, wisdom, and knowledge even after he left North Carolina and was engaged in the pursuit of his additional law degree. He always had words of encouragement for me and I the same for him. He always had kind words and a genuine concern for my family.
I am in Greensboro, North Carolina and if there is anything I can do for the family in this time please contact me.
To his family, stay strong and may the Lord be with you.

Time and distance could never surmount our friendship. I will always cherish the time we spent together and the memories we shared. You were always trying to convert me from Chelsea to Liverpool; from latkes to fufu.
Miss you my dear Bayo…………

I am shocked, stunned and deeply saddened to hear of the untimely loss of my friend, law school roommate and brother, Bayo. We would not be lawyers but for his constant motivating presence pushing with that gentle spirit he had. I will greatly miss him.
My prayers and thoughts go out to his wife, child, family and friends. I thank GOD for the times that we shared studying, laughing and watching the Chicago Bulls win championships. I can still remember us staying up all night driving back and forth from Caroline's apartment (Winston Salem) to ours (Durham) moving furniture. Also the laughs we shared when his younger brother and twin cousins came from London on visits. He was truly a giving spirit who "at the end of the day" could find the bright spot in everyone and every situation. Our conversations about law, life and the love of it will never be forgotten. Rest in Eternal Peace. I miss you B.

I remember when we met through Mr Eluwa. Your smile, attitude and zest for life made you my friend. I know we haven't seen in awhile I moved / you moved but we kept in touch. I am still in shock that you are no longer here. I still find myself typing emails to you and asking re my son's iyawo.
It is well. I know you are with God, and looking down on us all.
May the good Lord comfort the family you left behind and keep them.
